Density, Carbon Emissions, and the Built Environment

Choices made with regards to street layout continue to affect development and the built environment. The best way to account for density is to determine what would make the neighborhoods successful in their own right regarding density. Cookie-cutter 4-pack townhomes cannot be successful everywhere. Alleyways contribute to the success of dense areas by providing parking and other necessary “behind-the-scenes” actions required with housing, such as trash removal.
