Jessica Doyle is a research assistant at the Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development. She is currently in the doctoral program in city and regional planning in Georgia Tech, focusing on economic development and transportation.

Doyle has been working as an editor for Economist.com, the online edition of The Economist, since November 2000. From April 2001 to August 2005 she served as editor of Economist.com Global Executive, which served as The Economist 's online portal for new ideas in business education and management theory. She also reports on the southeastern United States for The Economist , having covered topics from economic redevelopment in Alabama's Black Belt to John Edwards's 2004 presidential campaign.

Doyle received a bachelor's degree with high honors in history from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. A former staff writer for Atlanta Magazine, she lives in Atlanta.
