Amy Danner is a Research Scientist at the Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development. She received his Masters in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech in Spring 2008. She specializes in land use, land and community development, and urban design, and her interests include the integration of urban planning and architecture in real estate development, as well as the legal aspects of these fields. Amy's final master's paper analyzed the permitting process in the City of Atlanta and the effects of the process on real estate development in this area.
During her masters program, Amy worked as a graduate research assistant for CQGRD. Since starting at CQGRD, she has been responsible for the coordiation of the Healthy Places Resarch Group, a collaborative effort involving Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health, Georgia Tech's College of Architecture, Georgia State University, and the Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development, studying the co-relationship between the built environment and the health of communities.
Amy graduated with High Honors from Georgia Tech in May 2006 with a bachelors of science in architecture and a certificate in land development.
